Have you heard of Uvita? If not, don’t feel bad. Costa Rica is well known for its lush Rainforests, beautiful beaches of Santa Teresa, or the Caribbean vibes of Puerto Viejo. To be honest, I only came here because I crossed the border with Panama and wanted a quiet place on the beach to relax. And it was perfect!
Monteverde is a complex of parks and natural reserves that are well prepared to receive tourists. There are night tours, animal refugees, canopy tours, a snake zoo, a frog sanctuary. Nature lovers will not get bored here, fore sure.
One thing is for sure: Costa Rica has the most amazing nature I have ever seen in my life. The lush, heavy, green, wild jungle is right behind you when you seat on the beach, resting from a day of surfing, watching one the most stunning sunsets in the world. That’s how I remember it.
